MPMG Film Factory’s Karnatabalam Ajeyam, Dhyan Yogishwar, son of MLA C.P. Yogeeshwar, is making his debut as a hero in the film industry. Along with this, C.P. Yogeeshwar is appearing in the film as a farmer from North Karnataka.
Reputed director Naganna is directing the film, and shooting is taking place in and around Badami, Pattadakal, Aihole, Nargund, and Navalgund in North Karnataka.
During the July 21 Farmers’ Martyrs’ Day observance in Navalgund, a scene featuring C.P. Yogeeshwar and MLA Konareddy as farmer activists raising slogans was captured realistically during the actual event.
Speaking on the occasion, Yogeeshwar said, “This is the first time I have come to North Karnataka. The struggles of the farmers in this region form the core subject of our film Karnatabalam Ajeyam. Shooting is taking place in both Nargund and Navalgund. It is heartbreaking to witness the pain, sorrow, and sacrifices of our farmers. By drawing upon the history of the Chalukya Empire that once ruled this land, we are showing in our film what the condition of farmers in this region is today. This is the story of the farmers of Karnataka’s soil, and it is also an attempt to showcase the glorious heritage of Karnataka.
The story unfolds across two different time periods. We have also addressed the Mahadayi project in the film. About 30% of the shooting has already been completed, and filming will continue in Navalgund for the next two days. We are planning to release Karnatabalam Ajeyam during Sankranti,” he said.
Director Naganna, MLA N.K. Konareddy, and activist Muttanna were also present on the occasion.
The film has a screenplay by M.S. Ramesh, Vishwa, and Gururaj Desai, music composed by V. Harikrishna, and cinematography by Shekhar Chandra.
Miss Universe India Manika Vishwakarma and Miss Universe India Runner-up Rekha Pandey are playing the female leads in the film. Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu and actress Laya are also part of the cast, with Laya portraying the role of the mother.
