The trailer of the Kannada film Maazar, produced by Dr. Muruganandan M under the banner of Sangeetha Cine House, has been released. The film is directed by Local Loki, who also plays the lead role in the film. Following the trailer release, members of the film team addressed the media.
Director Local Loki stated that the story was inspired by tragic incidents such as the Nirbhaya case and similar crimes. He said the film focuses on condemning such acts and highlights the need for justice for women. He also mentioned that he has both directed the film and acted in the lead role, while Dr. Muruganandan has produced the project.
The film’s technical team includes A. T. Raveesh as the music composer, Rajesh Ramanath for background music, and cinematography by Gagan Gowda, Vinay Gowda, and Jagan Babu.
The cast of Maazar includes Srihan, Deepak, Ugramm Ravi, Sambhramashree, Raju, Ranjan, and Ajay Sharma.
The film is scheduled for release on January 15, coinciding with the Sankranti festival.
Producer Dr. Muruganandan stated that he is an entrepreneur and politician and that producing a film had been a long-time aspiration, which has been fulfilled with Maazar. He also mentioned that this is his first film as a producer.
Actress Sambhramashree said that incidents of violence against women are disturbing even to watch on screen and stressed the need for such crimes to come to an end.
Actors Srihan, Deepak, Ajay Sharma, Raju, Ranjan, Ugramm Ravi, along with choreographer Geetha and dance master Ranjan, also spoke about the film during the interaction.
