The pride of Indian cinema, K Venkat Narayan, popularly known as KVN, was visibly elated as he addressed a mammoth gathering of fans and media from across India at the trailer launch of Toxic at AMB Kapali, Screen 5, on Saturday evening.

“KVN is what you see today—a culmination of what we have funded, produced and distributed. We are recognised in three different fields, and we are now moving towards many more developments in the near future,” he said.

Speaking about Toxic, KVN described the film as a project driven by deep passion, ambition and a desire to create something truly special.

“With pockets deep enough for passion and impact, Toxic is a making that is very close to my heart and special to everyone involved. It is a fairy tale for grown-ups and, in many ways, our first commercial gangster film. It brings together a powerhouse of actors,” he said.

Calling Yash’s presence in the film one of its biggest strengths, KVN said, “Our own Rocking Star is seen in so many avatars, and this is also our first collaboration. With the release of the trailer today, Toxic has already started a conversation with the world,” he proudly added.

“Karunada Chakravarthy Shivarajkumar’s presence is extremely special to us. Radhika also has a very special role to play in Toxic. Zee Music and Suzhel Parekh are our music partners and an integral part of the film. Anil Thadani is distributing the film across India, along with our regional distributors. I sincerely thank each and every one of them,” he said.

Calling Toxic an ambitious cinematic endeavour, KVN credited director Geetu Mohandas for steering the project with extraordinary conviction.

“It is a privilege to work with a filmmaker who recognizes exceptions. Toxic is an ambitious project born out of a bold vision, a big dream and relentless passion, brought to life through remarkable execution. The craftsmanship is the outcome of the collective effort of everyone involved,” KVN said.

He further praised Geetu Mohandas for her unwavering commitment to the project. “Geetu Mohandas has been steering this entire storm, backed by complete conviction. It takes tremendous courage to imagine a film like Toxic. It takes even greater guts to hold everything together without missing a single detail, and that is what the director has done,” he added.

However, KVN reserved his most emphatic praise for the film’s leading man, Rocking Star Yash.

Turning his attention towards Yash, KVN said, “A man is defined by his passion, defined by his hard work, powered by discipline and inspired by vision. He keeps pushing benchmarks and boundaries all the time. That is why we call him RSY—Rocking Star Yash!”

Speaking about his experience of working closely with Yash for the first time, KVN said it had given him a new perspective on the star’s relentless pursuit of excellence.

“This would not have been possible without Yash. I have known him and heard about him, but this is the first time I have worked very closely with him and witnessed him from this proximity. His passion, his motivation and his hard work are all there in action,” he said.

“Excellence is the ultimate baseline for him. Everything begins with excellence. ‘What more? What else? How can it be different? How can it be better?’—that is the continuous thought process in him. His workmanship goes beyond expectations, and his uncanny ability to push himself beyond what anyone can imagine is truly remarkable,” KVN said, lauding the Rocking Star.

With the trailer now unveiled amid tremendous anticipation, KVN’s words reflected the confidence and conviction surrounding Toxic—a film that seeks to push boundaries, bring together an exceptional ensemble and present Yash in a never-before-seen avatar on the global stage.
