Already making a strong buzz through songs like “Jigri Dost Jigri Dost” and “Huttibande Hulibeeranagi,” and a few others “Hulibeera” is a film produced by people from North Karnataka. The film, which is releasing on October 2, had its trailer released by senior actor and Supreme Hero Shashikumar. Director A.P. Arjun attended the event as a guest.

Written and directed by Madarangi Mallikarjun, the film features Rural Anjan of “Yarrabirri” fame as the hero, with Chaitra Thotada and Vanu Patil as the heroines. The film, which showcases the flavor of North Karnataka, has music composed by Veera Samarth. Sanatana has handled the camera work.

Speaking after releasing the trailer, actor Shashikumar said, “When I watched the trailer, I felt there is raw content in it. As the generation changes, their thinking also changes. Whether it is North Karnataka or South Karnataka, art and artists are the same; only the way of speaking is different. Content-based films have never failed. I advise the present generation to keep making new films while retaining the old traditions.”

A.P. Arjun said, “I know Anjan from the gym. I have seen the footage, and it has come out well.”
Former Judge N.S. Patil, who was present on the stage, said, “There is a huge difference between the judiciary and cinema. Making a film is very difficult nowadays. May Renuka Yellamma do good for everyone.”

Distributor K. Munindra said, “I have already watched the film. The climax is ultimate.”

Folk artist Savithakka, who has provided the background voice for the trailer, said, “I am a theatre artist. I have spoken in plays. But giving voice according to the visuals was a little difficult.”

Producer Daval Saheb Hunsheemarad said, “While watching the trailer, tears came to my eyes. So many people have appreciated it. We have already achieved success.”

Another producer Ashok said, “This film is the maiden venture of Sai Star Cinemas. The film will definitely be liked by the audience.”

Sujata Girish said, “Three songs have already become hits. We started this film at the Badami Banashankari temple and completed it at Saundatti. Mallikarjun is the root of this film, hero Anjan is the trunk, the heroines are the flowers, and all of us are the branches and twigs.”

Music director Veera Samarth said, “The folk-style songs with the flavor of the soil are the highlights of the film. After Shivamani and Karanji, this is the project I have done with Dharmavish. This is a good film, and it should not fail.” Dharmavish has provided the background music for the film.

Director Mallikarjun said, “A trailer is like an invitation card to a film. We have shown the flavor of North Karnataka in the film. You have already liked the songs; please support the film in the same way and make it a success.”

Hero rural star Anjan said, “I met with an accident in 2019 and went into deep depression. Hulibeera gave me a new lease of life. I showed the trailer to Shashikumar sir. When he saw the final scene where God appears, he removed his slippers and watched it. He wished me saying, ‘My son is no different, and you are no different.’ There is such a boy in every house. Hulibeera is about how a boy who is at the last option goes on to develop the entire village.”
Mallu Bagalkote has played the role of the maternal uncle. Heroines Chaitra Thotada and Vanu Patil spoke about their respective roles.

The film has been jointly produced by Daval Saheb Hunsheemarad, Ashok N. (Turuvekere), and Sujata Girish under Sai Star Cinemas.
