The film Common Man, which tells the story of how an ordinary person could govern if he becomes the Chief Minister of the state, what reforms he could bring about, and the challenges he would face, is all set for a grand theatrical release on the 25th of this month. The trailer of the film was recently released and is receiving a good response.
Dr. N. Narasimha Murthy has written the story and produced the film under the banner of Surabhi Films. This is the 106th film directed by veteran director Om Sai Prakash, who is known for his sentimental films.
Speaking at the trailer launch, music director V. Manohar said, “When you watch the trailer, it naturally creates curiosity among the audience. The aspect of an ordinary citizen asking, ‘I too have a right over Vidhana Soudha, write it over to me,’ is something new. The story and the trailer have the strength to attract people to theatres. May Gowrishankar’s name grow as high as the Gowrishankar mountain with this film. I wish the film great success.”
Actor Bala Rajawadi said that he plays the role of the hero’s father and a theatre artist. Actor Kiran, who is also the producer’s son-in-law, said that he plays the Chief Minister’s son in the film.

Veteran actor Ashok plays the role of the Governor. Veteran actors Ramesh Bhat, Ganesh Rao Kesarakar, Escort Srinivas, Prakash Thumminad and others are also part of the cast.
The film has music by Vinay Chandra, cinematography by J.G. Krishna and Deepak Kumar, and stunts by Thriller Manju. Singers such as Chaitra Achar, Kailash Kher and Baba Sehgal have lent their voices to the songs.
