A new Kannada film, backed by a team with experience in business television and content production, is currently taking shape. The team had earlier worked on a Kannada business TV channel that focused on trade, employment, entrepreneurship and business skills.
The same concept of creating meaningful content is now being extended to cinema. The team has also been associated with ‘E-Kissan TV 2’ and is working on a series of projects.
The upcoming film is being made on a relatively low budget and features several newcomers. The story revolves around farmers, employees and businesspeople, while also incorporating elements of sports and everyday life.
The filmmakers have been working on the project for around six months. The team headed by D Trilokchander is also associated with Peenya-based cooling solutions, where they work on products and services related to cooling systems, batteries, radiators and steam-engine technology.
The makers believe that the positive response to their earlier Kannada business television content encouraged them to continue exploring new ideas through cinema.
Yogesh, who has worked as a hotel employee, plays the hero in the film. Veteran actor Muralikrishna, who has acted in around 40 films, is also part of the project and plays a director in the story. Trilokchander has plans to extend his new vision to tap the talents and issues in all the 30 districts of Karnataka in his future endeavor.
The film also features Sudha and Vijaya, with Vijaya appearing in a comic role. Yashasvini, Pavan Chair, Ramya, Vaatsalya, Rakesh, Bharath, Priya, Vishwa, Shvu, Devaraj and other are also in the cast.
The team is now working towards completing the film and bringing its unique subject and fresh talent to Kannada audiences.
