On the occasion of the Varamahalakshmi festival, the new Kannada film ‘Jiladhikari’ was announced, bringing together popular actor Aditya and veteran director Om Prakash Rao. The film will go on floors in the first week of September.
Known for films such as AK 47, Lockup Death, Kalasipalya and Huchcha, Om Prakash Rao is directing the film, while Aditya, known for films including Deadly Soma, plays the lead.
Described as a mass and commercial entertainer, the film’s story is inspired by certain real-life incidents, says the director.
Presented by Lalithamma and Sushila (Tipatur) under the banner of OPR Pictures, the film is produced by Umesh Sakkarenadu. Ravikumar is the cinematographer and V. Harikrishna is composing the music, while Dennisa Prakash has written the story.
Roopa Siddagangaa makes her acting debut as Aditya’s heroine. The cast also includes Rockline Venkatesh, Bhaskar Shetty, Yashas Abhi, Smitha, Swara B, Achyuth Kumar, Rangayana Raghu, Avinash, Swastik Shankar, Chitra Shenoy, Sudha Belawadi and producer Umesh Sakkarenadu, among others.
