“It is a four-season contract I have signed with Colors Kannada for hosting the ‘Bigg Boss’ show,” said the legendary actor and Abhinaya Chakravarthy, Kichcha Sudeepa, at the media meet on Monday evening.
At the same event, Kichcha Sudeepa also announced that he is committed to acting in two Kannada films every year—certainly good news for the Kannada film industry.
However, the Badshah of Kannada cinema, Kichcha Sudeepa, had declared at the end of the 11th season last year that it was enough—a statement widely interpreted as his decision to step away from hosting one of the biggest reality shows in Kannada. But that is no longer the case. He has given in to pressure from Colors Kannada and the audience who eagerly watch the Bigg Boss seasons. “I couldn’t say no to the request,” said Kichcha Sudeepa.

The 12th season of Bigg Boss Kannada is set to launch in a few weeks. The television channel is making all arrangements to ensure it’s bigger than the previous editions.
Kichcha Sudeepa’s advice in the last season—to give more care and attention to the Kannada Bigg Boss show—has now been taken seriously. The responsibility, he says, now lies with the channel.
With rumours swirling that Kichcha Sudeepa would not be part of the upcoming seasons, Colors Kannada organised the media meet to clarify. Senior business heads from the channel came down to Bengaluru to confirm Sudeepa’s continued involvement.
It is true that no one can match the energy and stature of Kichcha Sudeepa. When asked whether Bigg Boss Kannada would end if he chose not to participate, he admitted the question made the team uncomfortable. “I don’t mind giving tips to whoever is selected,” stated Kichcha Sudeepa at this point.
Season 12 of Bigg Boss will also offer a prize money of Rs. 50 lakhs. Sudeepa appreciated Prakash and his team for their planning and for maintaining the procedures.
Kichcha Sudeepa patiently answered both serious and trivial questions during the media interaction, which began exactly on schedule.
