The upcoming Kannada film Jungle Mangle, starring Yash Shetty in the lead role, is set to release on July 4. The trailer, which has already sparked curiosity, was released today.

Director Rakshith Kumar stated that the film’s title Jungle Mangle was suggested by noted filmmaker Yogaraj Bhat after watching the trailer. Another director, Simple Suni, who also liked the film, agreed to present it under his banner, Suni Cinemas.

“This is a story that takes place in the semi-Malenadu region. A group of friends came together to produce this film. Though I’ve worked in various departments of Kannada and Tulu cinema for the past ten years, this is my directorial debut,” said Rakshith Kumar. He added that while the setting is regional, the subject is universal in nature. The film is produced under the Sahyadri Studios banner, with Prajeeth Hegde, editor Manu Shedgar, and others backing the project financially.

The cast includes Yash Shetty and Harshitha Ramachandra in lead roles, along with Ugram Manju and Bal Rajawadi in key characters.

Yash Shetty said, “I don’t necessarily aim to be a hero. I want to grow as an actor. My first film as a lead was Soojidara, and the story was the reason I accepted that role. Similarly, the story is the reason I agreed to act as the lead in this film as well. The real hero of this film is the story.” He also mentioned that producer Prajeeth Hegde had extended strong support to the project, and Supreeth from KVN Productions is helping with its distribution.

Actress Harshitha Ramachandra, who plays the role of Divya, described her character as a responsible, middle-class woman from the coastal region, working as an Anganwadi teacher.

Actor Ugram Manju, who plays the antagonist, said, “Director Rakshith Kumar has come up with a good story. Compared to my earlier films, this role is different.”

Co-producer and editor Manu Shedgar, along with producer Prajeeth Hegde, urged audiences to watch and support Jungle Mangle when it releases in theatres on July 4.
