The muhurat ceremony of the film Choo Baana was grandly held in the presence of Kashi Vishwanatha at Basaveshwaranagar. N.R.K. Vishwanath, the President of the Film Directors’ Association, gave the clap for the first scene, while J.G. Krishna, the President of the Cinematographers’ Association, turned on the camera and wished the team well.
Under the banner of S.K. Basha Films, Vijayawada-based engineer S.K. Firoz Basha is not only producing the film but also acting as the lead—a new experience for him. S.R. Pramod, who has written the story and script, is directing his ninth film.

Speaking on the occasion, the director said that in today’s society, even small issues lead to resentment, and sometimes end in murder. The story is set in a village backdrop. Due to longstanding hatred and old rivalries, crimes take place. Murders happen in the houses of village leaders. Who commits these? Why? All of this begins to unfold when the son of one such leader starts investigating the murder of his father. What challenges does he face on this journey? How does he overcome them and succeed? This forms the crux of the story. The plan is to shoot the entire film in a single stretch at a small village near Mysore, matching the script’s tone. There will be two songs and action sequences. Two senior supporting actors will be part of the cast, and further details will be revealed in the coming days, said S.R. Pramod.
Rekha Ramesh from Hassan is the heroine. Others in the cast include Tanikella Narayana as the hero’s sister, and Ayur, among others. Music is by Kevin M., cinematography by Mysore Somu, and editing by Ayur.
