For the first time in Kannada cinema, 18 shayaris—from three lines to 18 lines—are part of the screenplay of Love 2 Lassi by RKB Films. The producer of this film, Bharathi Srinivasa Raju, is a housewife. She has accrued her savings for decades and invested in this film.
Apparently, Love 2 Lassi (which features a love triangle) is a travelogue love story from Bengaluru to Bantwal. A television journalist, Aryan, is in his fourth film as a hero, and Jeevitha Prabhakar plays the lead, under the direction of Hariprana. A boy from Bengaluru travels to Bantwal to find his lady love. In between arrives another prominent person—that is the director himself, in a cameo role.
In this film, the main characters do not express “I love you,” yet it is a love story, says Hariprana. This is a real-life story from 2006, says debut director Hariprana. He has written the shayaris, and there are a few songs by music composer Vinu Manassu.
In the planned 25-day schedule, the shoot was completed in 23 days of day and night work, says Hariprana. He has given opportunities to a few new faces like Ananthu, Chetan Durga, Vinay, Jagan, and others. Makeup man Shanker worked on the 40 actors for this film. Arjun Dhoni is the editor.

Hariprana also thanked the school authorities in Puttur. He apologized for a situation that disturbed the faculty of the school.
Jeevitha Prabhakar has emoted beautifully without using glycerin. She appears in tears in quite a few scenes and says she immensely liked the writing skills of director Hariprana. She is excited to see the film on the silver screen soon.
There is a father and daughter situation that brings emotional moments in the film. Lassi is the favorite drink of the heroine, and that is also her pet name—Jeevitha Prabhakar plays ‘Lassi’ in the film. Her role is a mix of sweet, salt, and pepper—like ‘Lassi’.
Vinu Manassu has scored three songs—covering themes of friendship, love, and emotional moments, he says. Narendra Bindu, a senior cinematographer based in Mumbai and known for ad films, is behind the camera. Earlier, he worked for the Kannada film Ranganayaka.
Aryan, looking handsome and well-built, hails from the television field. He was a reporter for the Ashwavega television channel. He has already acted in four films in his career. He thanked Dr. Shivarajakumar for the support extended to this film, as he released the title poster.
“It is through my brother Anil that I came into contact with director Hariprana, and his narration of the story moved me. The friendship, love, and bonding shown in the film hold a mirror to society,” says Aryan. “After college, I showed interest in agriculture and joined my father in the village. I searched for real love, and in a few situations, I had to collect drops of tears. The dialogue improvement by director Hariprana on the spot is excellent. There is no action portion in this Love 2 Lassi”
