A documentary that emphasizes humanity above all, Misle is supported by MP Dr. C.N. Manjunath, actress Priyanka Upendra, and IPS officer S. Ravi.
The medical field often witnesses astonishing events. Inspired by such real-life incidents, director A. Paramesh has crafted Misle, a heart-touching documentary. The film revolves around a medical case where a doctor saved a patient suffering from a severe illness. A patient from Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, initially contracted COVID-19, and while recovering, he was struck by another rare disease, leading to a life-and-death battle. The struggles faced by his family, particularly his wife and brother, during this crisis have been depicted in this 48-minute documentary.
Dr. Gopal Krishna, an orthopedic specialist, took a significant risk by performing a complex surgery, ultimately giving the patient a new lease on life. Misle portrays this real-life medical miracle. Dr. Sujata, a doctor herself, has produced this documentary under Dr. Sujata Krishna Production House to highlight her husband’s medical achievements and raise awareness. MP Dr. C.N. Manjunath, senior IPS officer Ravi C., and actress Priyanka Upendra launched the documentary and extended their best wishes.

The event also saw the presence of the recovered patient, his wife, and his brother, making the moment even more special. To maintain authenticity, the documentary uses Telugu for the patient’s dialogues and English for the scientific explanations. Actors Mahesh Raj, Shriparinita, and Nagaraj Shetty have played roles to bring the real-life story to screen.
Dr. Manjunath emphasized that while money is important, humanity should never be forgotten. He praised Dr. Gopal Krishna and his team for successfully performing a groundbreaking surgery on a COVID-19 patient suffering from Heterotopic Ossification. This rare surgery, the first of its kind in India, involved three joint operations in a single eight-hour procedure, giving the patient a second chance at life. Dr. Manjunath expressed his hope that such humanitarian achievements inspire young doctors and bring recognition to Karnataka’s medical excellence.
IPS officer Dr. Ravi lauded the documentary, stating that it deeply resonates with the common man and should encourage more such initiatives. Dr. Gopal Krishna recalled the challenges of the case, explaining that his dedicated team closely monitored the patient for over 18 months post-surgery. Today, the patient has fully recovered without any complications, marking a significant success in medical history.
The phrase “Vaidyo Narayano Hari” (The doctor is akin to God) holds profound truth. Doctors are our saviors in times of health crises. Karnataka’s very own Dr. Gopal Krishna has achieved something unprecedented, setting a benchmark in the medical field.
The patient suffered from joint issues post-COVID, leaving him unable to walk. When he approached Dr. Gopal Krishna, the only solution was a high-risk surgery involving three joint operations. While most would hesitate, Dr. Gopal Krishna took the challenge head-on, successfully performing all three surgeries in a continuous eight-hour session with his expert team. The patient has now fully recovered and lives happily with his family.
When director A. Paramesh learned about this achievement, he decided to document it for future generations. Misle was produced by Dr. Sujata Krishna to honor this extraordinary medical feat.
The Camaro2 film team voluntarily supported the project without taking any remuneration. Director A. Paramesh expressed gratitude to Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Priyanka Upendra, IPS officer Ravi, and his entire team for their invaluable support.
