A love story set in the Bayaluseeme region, Amara Premi Arun is among the many fresh and unique attempts emerging in Kannada cinema. Produced by Olavu Cinema, a team of like-minded individuals, the film is directed by Praveen Kumar G, who has previously worked as an assistant director under veterans like Girish Kasaravalli and Yogaraj Bhat.
Recently, the film’s teaser was launched by Dr. Manjamma Jogathi and D Beats’ Shailaja Nag, who also unveiled the first look. Interestingly, Dr. Manjamma Jogathi plays a special role in the film.
Speaking about the project, the team shared insights into its making. Amara Premi Arun is a romantic story set in Ballari, with the entire 54-day shoot taking place in and around the region. Even the dialogues maintain the authentic Ballari dialect.
Harisharva plays the protagonist Arun, a medical representative, while Deepika Aradhya portrays Kavya, his love interest. Veteran actor Dharmanna Kadur plays Ballari Seen, alongside Kriti Bhatt, who plays his pair. The film also features strong family dynamics, with seasoned actors bringing life to the roles of the protagonist’s parents and grandmother.
The film boasts Praveen’s cinematography, Manu Shedgar’s editing, and Kiran Ravindranath’s music composition. The audio rights have been acquired by D Beats, and the film is set for an April release.
Lead actor Harisharva, who previously acted in Kahi, shared his excitement about playing a full-fledged hero:

“My background is primarily in theatre, and this is my debut as a lead in cinema. My character, Arun, is deeply in love with Kavya. The story revolves around whether he ultimately wins her over. We hope for your support.”
Actress Deepika Aradhya, actor Dharmanna Kadur, actress Kriti Bhatt, actress Ranjitha Puttaswamy, and senior actress Radha Ramachandra spoke about their roles in the film.
Music director Kiran Ravindranath mentioned that the film features six songs, with lyrics penned by Yogaraj Bhat, Jayant Kaikini, and Praveen Kumar.
The team proudly claims that Amara Premi Arun is the first-ever Kannada film to be shot entirely in the Ballari region with dialogues in its native dialect, bringing an authentic local flavor to the screen.
