Sai Srinidhi was one of the five directors of ‘B.T.S’, an anthology featuring five stories that released a few days ago and won appreciation from audiences. Trained under ‘Matha’ director Guruprasad, Sai Srinidhi had earlier worked as an associate director on ‘Nodidavaru Enantare’. He has now made his independent directorial debut with ‘Miss Match’.
Set against the backdrop of Malnad, the film is a feel-good family romantic comedy. Shooting has been completed, with most of the film shot in the Malnad region. Post-production work is progressing rapidly. The teaser was recently released and has generated considerable curiosity, while also receiving a high number of views.
‘B.T.S’ lead Kaushik Hegde plays the hero, while Ashwita Hegde, who has acted in films including ‘Kamblihula’, plays the heroine. The cast also includes ‘Video’ fame Tejesh, Amrutha, Aniruddh Acharya, Nagendra Shah and Lakshmi Siddaiah, among others.
Sai Srinidhi has written the story and screenplay and directed the film. Judah Sandy has composed the music. There are four songs, of which Judah Sandy has sung three, while Lakshmi Belmannu has lent her voice to one song. Ganesh Mahabal is the cinematographer and Deepak Kulal is the editor. Tejas Venkatesh, through Tejas Publications and Satyr, has produced ‘Miss Match’.
Meghana (Ashwita Hegde) is a young woman who dreams of leaving behind the conservative life of a small town and living independently in the city. Aakash (Kaushik Gowda) is a young man who leaves the city and wants to build his own path by doing something meaningful in his hometown.
Director Sai Srinidhi says the film revolves around the humour and emotional bonds that emerge through love, friendship and relationships when these two individuals from completely different worlds come together at a time when love has increasingly become transactional.
