The launch event of two versions of the motion posters of ‘Koneya Patra’, which has already drawn attention with its intriguing title, was held at Sri Renukamba Studios. Mamatha Devaraju, Dog Satish and several film personalities were present on the occasion and extended their best wishes to the team.
The film is being produced under the banner of Kosala Creative Works Private Limited by B. Nagaraju, a political leader from Anantapur. His entry into film production marks a new experience. Handsome actor Bhargav B.V., who has appeared as a hero in seven films over the past ten years in the Kannada film industry, is taking up a new experiment with this film. He has written the story and screenplay, is directing the film and is also playing the lead role.
Aira Menon and Shabeena are the heroines. Producer’s son Sai Kishore is playing a prominent role as the hero’s friend. Vedashree, Balraj Wadi, Killi Kranti, Chatrapathi Shekhar, Prem Sagar, Jabardast Naveen, Shruthi, Tagubothu Srinu, Tasty Teja and others are also part of the cast.
Peddapalli Rohith (PR) is composing the music for the four songs. Arya Sai Krishna is the cinematographer, Sriram is handling the action sequences, and the lyrics are by Vishnuvardhan and Dr. Venigalla Rambabu.
Speaking about the film, the director said, “The title ‘Koneya Patra’ may give a classical impression. But this is an out-and-out mass film with a lot of elements. In a village, a rugged man named Narasimha from Narasapur receives a letter. How that letter changes him and how he undergoes various transformations thereafter will be the essence of the film.”
He further revealed that the film will be made in two parts. The team has planned to shoot the film in three phases in Hyderabad, Mangaluru, Udupi and Kanakapura.
According to the producer, the film will be shot separately in Kannada and Telugu. “I liked the one-line story narrated by Bhargav and decided to invest in the film. I will next make a Kannada film titled ‘Kaateramma’, and later I have a goal of making three films with him. We plan to show the film to the audience by December. I request the support of the media,” said Nagaraju B.
