Actor Dheekshith Shetty, known for ‘Dia’, has now launched his own production house, ‘Dhee Cinemas’, and has produced a horror film as its first venture.

The multilingual actor’s maiden production, the horror film ‘Video’, is now ready for release and will hit the screens on September 11. Directed by Srinidhi Bengaluru of Blink fame, the trailer launch event of the film was held recently. Following the success of Blink, Dheekshith Shetty has teamed up with Srinidhi for ‘Video’. The film, which has already created a buzz with its teaser and unique promotions, features Bharat, Jeevan Shivakumar, Tejas S.M., Priya J. Achar and Nalme Nachiyar in prominent roles.

The trailer launch was special as the film’s artistes, along with actor Siddu Moolimani, danced to horror-themed songs on stage before unveiling the trailer of Video.

Speaking on the occasion, producer Dheekshith Shetty said, “This is a found-footage horror-thriller with a unique concept. There is no BGM in our film. We used 12 cameras for the shoot. Bharat Sagar is also associated with us as the executive producer. Even if I act in films in other languages, I bring the money I earn there and invest it here. Last week, we held a paid premiere of our film at AMB Cinemas, and it was completely booked within a few hours on BookMyShow. After watching the film, the happiness of experiencing an amazing thrilling experience was visible on the audience’s faces.”

Director Srinidhi said, “After Blink and Xerox, this is my third film. When I thought about how realistically a found-footage horror film could be presented, this concept struck me. This is an unconventional script. Initially, the film was titled Blog, because everyone in the film is a blogger. It is a story about the lives of bloggers. The first 20 minutes will make you laugh, and after that, it will keep you on the edge of your seat.”

Lead actress Priya J. Achar said, “This is my second film. It is special to me, and I am very excited. The producers have given opportunities to many newcomers in the film. We knew even while acting that there would be risks behind this uniqueness. Video is an experience film.”

Another actress, Nalme Nachiyar, said, “It takes courage to believe in a dream and pursue it, and that courage exists in our team.”

Actor Jeevan said that he comes from a theatre background, while lead actor Bharat became emotional while recalling the loss of his father during the shooting.

The film features music by Prasanna Kumar, while Avinash Shastry has handled the camera work.
