Following the success of ‘Upadhyaksha’ popular Kannada comedian Chikkanna is gearing up for the release of his second film as a lead actor, Lakshmiputra. The film’s team announced the release date on the occasion of the Varamahalakshmi festival. ‘Lakshmiputra’ will be released on November 27.
Chikkanna said the film will release across Karnataka on November 27, during the Kannada Rajyotsava month. He recalled that Ganeshotsava and Rajyotsava celebrations supported him during his early career and requested audiences to shower the film with their usual love and support.
Producer A.P. Arjun said Lakshmiputra revolves around family relationships, with a strong emotional bond between a mother and son, along with plenty of humour and an endearing love story, all set against the backdrop of Mandya.
Directed by Vijay S. Swamy, the film has story, screenplay and lyrics by A.P. Arjun and is produced by Annapurna A.P. Arjun. The cast includes Tara Anuradha, Kuri Prathap, Dharmanna Kadur and Mithra, among others. Lakshmiputra is set to entertain audiences in theatres across Karnataka from November 27.
