Kannada film ‘Anireekshita Athithigalu’ (Unexpected Guests), a crime thriller revolving around six key characters, has unveiled its songs. Directed by debutant Manoj Annayya and produced by B. Vinod Kumar, the film is set to release on September 18.
The story unfolds over a single day at a guest house, where six unexpected visitors arrive, leading to a crime thriller with a social issue at its core. The film features four songs, with music by Swaminathan R.K. One lyrical song has already gained attention, while a completely English pop song sung by Siri Katte was also showcased at the event.
Siri Katte revealed that she has sung two songs in the film. Singers Harshitha Devanath and Rajath Hegde also performed a portion of another song at the event.
Producer Vinod Kumar said he entered the industry after working extensively as an assistant cinematographer and was introduced to Manoj through actor Jaggi. Lead actor Jaggi, known for Maitri, said the director had carefully shaped every character. Actor Vivek Simha added that he and Manoj have shared a 15-year friendship and both come from a theatre background.
Lead actress Samprathi Alva praised Siri Katte for lending her voice to her song, while actors Sridadha, Daiveek Nag, Haritha Shah and others spoke about their experiences working on the film.
Director Manoj Annayya, a student of Fine Arts, said he had worked in television and films and made two short films while seeking opportunities. His earlier short film, set against a 1964 backdrop, impressed Vinod Kumar and led to the feature film.
The team shot the entire film for 25 days in Belur. Action director Sriram revealed that the film features four action sequences. The makers said a trailer will follow, promising an intriguing crime thriller built around the unexpected arrival of six guests at a guest house.
