The muhurat ceremony of Sampige, a film launched by a team of young talents, was held in the divine presence of Sri Kalabhaireshwara Swamy at the Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math premises in Bengaluru.
Bigg Boss fame Saniya Iyer and her mother, Deepa Iyer, inaugurated the first shot by giving the ceremonial clap. On the occasion, Bigg Boss contestant Ishani, social worker Anjanappa, several dignitaries, friends, and Darshan fans attended the event and extended their best wishes to the film team. The team, comprising friends with many years of experience in the film industry, shared details about the new project.
Making his directorial debut, Giri Gowda said, “Earlier, I directed several video album songs. I had also started films titled Maddur Vade and Mahakali. Sampige is a murder mystery that revolves around crimes and atrocities against women while carrying a strong social message. Shooting will begin in August, and we plan to complete it in 20 days at locations including Melukote, Kannur, and other places. The film features one song, and it will introduce several young talents. We will announce the heroine in the coming days.”
Producer Rudra Kumar, comes from the bread manufacturing industry, said, “Making a film has been my dream for the last ten years. I found a good story, and we are launching this film under the banner of Kalabhairaveshwara Productions. The director is like a brother to me, and I am producing this film for him. I seek your love and support.”
Young actor Vardhan, a hardcore fan of Challenging Star Darshan, said, “I am originally from Hassan. Around eight years ago, I started doing small roles in films and also worked in the direction department. This film focuses on the atrocities committed against women and the need to protect them. My role is very different, and we have been rehearsing extensively before the shoot. I request everyone to encourage young talents like us.”
Young actors Praveen Davanagere and Darshan, also appear in the film, shared details about their respective roles.
