It was a grand launch for actor, writer and director Yathiraj’s Film Produced by Karthikeya Enterprises. The muhurta ceremony of “Raa.. Raa.. RX,” directed by Yathiraj and produced by Vruddhi Sunil, Chetan T.R., and Chandrashekhar S.M. under the Karthikeya Enterprises banner, was held recently in a grand manner.
Veteran press photographer K.N. Nagesh Kumar and journalist V.C.N. Manju gave the clap for the film’s first shot. Producer Vruddhi Sunil’s wife Priya switched on the camera. A special highlight of the event was the unveiling of the film’s title teaser by mothers Ramya, Sangeetha, Priya, Rajamma, Nalini, Mamata, Nirmala and Jaya.
“This is a story written by me. Initially, I wanted to publish it as a book. But now it is becoming a film. I narrated this story to music director Vijay Haritsa. He, in turn, told his friend Vruddhi Sunil that the story was very good. Sunil called me, listened to the story, liked it, and came forward to produce the film. Along with Vruddhi Sunil, Chetan and Chandrashekhar have also joined as producers.
‘Raa.. Raa.. RX’ is the story that unfolds while two friends, Rajeev and Rakesh, travel on an RX bike. It is also a story about the bond between a mother and her son. In this film, the RX bike itself plays a major role. The story is the real hero of this film. We have selected many new talents through auditions. For most of the artists acting in this film, this is their first movie.
Shooting will begin in Maddur from the 20th of this month. If everything goes as planned, the filming will be completed in 35 days. The film has music by Vijay Haritsa and cinematography by Deepak. Apart from directing, I am also playing a small role in the film,” said director Yathiraj.
“I got introduced to Yathiraj through music director Vijay Haritsa. I had always wanted to produce a film if I found a good story. I liked the story narrated by Yathiraj and decided to produce it,” said producer Vruddhi Sunil.
The other two producers, Chetan T.R. and Chandrashekhar, also spoke appreciatively about the story.
“There are three songs in the film. One of them is entirely about the RX bike,” one on mother sentiment and a duet song said music director Vijay Haritsa. Recalling his conversation with the producer Vijay Haritsa said ‘Hodre situ bandre Layout’ was in the mind of the producer.
“I am currently acting in the television serial ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbam.’ This is my first film as a lead actor. Rajeev is the name of my character,” said actor Anoop Bellavi.
“I was selected through an audition. My role is very good,” said actor Bharath, who plays the character Rakesh.
Lead actresses Keerthana and Aishwarya, actor Bharath, actress Sahana Sri, cinematographer Deepak, and several technicians also spoke about the film. Executive producer Alok was present at the press meet.
The team of the film has an idea of bringing this film to Telugu language. That is also the reason for such a title admits Yathiraj.
