“KIRUNAGE” TITLE UNVEILED FOR NEW KANNADA FILM

The title of a new Kannada film produced under the Harshini Cinemas banner was recently unveiled at a grand event. Produced by Lathashree D.C. and directed by Ashok Kadaba, the film has been titled “Kirunage.”

The title was unveiled by Lakshmi Govindaraju, daughter of Dr. Rajkumar, and her husband S.A. Govindaraju, who extended their wishes to the film team. Directors’ Association President N.R.K. Vishwanath, actor Shanmukh and Youth Congress leader Ashok Bhimanayak also attended the event as guests and wished the team success.

Speaking about the project, director Ashok Kadaba said that “Kirunage” is the sixth film of his directorial career. He described it as a love story that also revolves around children sacrificing their love for the sake of their parents. He added that the entire first half of the film is set in a wedding house.

Kadaba said that producer Lathashree D.C. has written the story. The film has completed shooting, and post-production work is progressing. Filming took place in Bengaluru, Udupi, Vijayapura, Mumbai and Goa.

Newcomers Vijay Raj and Khushbu play the lead roles in the film. The cast also includes veteran actress Shruthi, Raju Kher, brother of actor Anupam Kher, Sangeetha, Moog Suresh, Sudha Belawadi, Manjunath Hegde and others. Shreesh has also played a prominent role in the film.

The director further said that Sukruth, who has worked with A.R. Rahman, has composed the music for the film, while cinematography has been handled by Siddu Kanchanahalli. The songs have been written by Nagarjuna Sharma.

Producer and story writer Lathashree D.C. said that the film was made with the blessings of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and the support of her father, former MLA Devanand Chavan. She stated that although the film belongs to the love genre, the way love has been portrayed is different. According to her, the story revolves around a young woman, but it is not a woman-centric film. She added that the film contains all the elements of commercial entertainment.

Lead actor Vijay Raj said that although he has acted in several television serials, “Kirunage” marks his first film as a hero. He described the story as very good. Actress Khushbu and actor Shreesh, who plays a key role in the film, thanked the team for the opportunity and spoke about their respective characters.

Music director Sukruth, cinematographer Siddu Kanchanahalli, lyricist Nagarjuna Sharma, and actors Sangeetha and Moog Suresh also shared information about the film during the event.
