The makers of “Koragajja,” directed by Sudheer Attavar, have shared new updates regarding the film’s progress. The film, which was initially scheduled for release in January and had already held its audio launch under the banner of Zee Music Company, had its release postponed after the makers decided to convert it into a 3D film.

According to director Sudheer Attavar, the 3D conversion work is currently progressing in Kochi and Chennai. He stated that the film is being developed on a technical scale comparable to international productions. He also revealed that several international distribution companies have shown interest in the project.

Producer Trivikram Sapalya said that, in recognition of the efforts put in by Sudheer Attavar over the last three years, he has gifted the director a three-bedroom luxury apartment developed by Sobha Developers. According to the producer, the apartment has an approximate market value of ₹1.75 crore. He said the gesture reflected his appreciation for both the film and its director.

The producer also stated that the film, which is already being prepared in six languages, will additionally be released in Assamese, Chinese and English versions.

A housewarming ceremony for the new apartment was held on Friday, followed by a Sri Satyanarayana Vrata and pooja. On Sunday, an Agelu Seve dedicated to Koragajja Daiva was conducted in the presence of journalists and invited guests.

Veteran actress Bhavya offered traditional food items associated with the ritual, including Kuchalakki anna, huruli-basale saaru, bangude fish curry, tender mango pickle, koli sukka and kallu. The arrangements were made by Rajashree Sudheer, wife of director Sudheer Attavar, while producer Trivikram Sapalya and executive producer Vidyadhar Shetty assisted Bhavya during the ceremony.

Addressing the media, Bhavya said that “Koragajja” had deepened her spiritual connection to the deity and that she had been associated with all major events related to the film. She noted that she plays the role of Queen Panjandayi, who offers the first Agelu Seve to Koragajja in the film. She added that participating in a similar ritual at the director’s new residence was a memorable experience for her.

Speaking at the press conference, Trivikram Sapalya confirmed that the film is also being dubbed into Chinese. He said international distribution companies from Hong Kong, Beijing and other regions have expressed interest in releasing the film overseas. He further stated that although the film’s budget has crossed ₹40 crore, growing business prospects and confidence in the project prompted him to present the apartment as a gift to the director for his contribution over the past three years.

Executive producer and editor Vidyadhar Shetty said the team is planning to release the film in August.

The makers also stated that “Koragajja” is likely to be the first Kannada film to undergo a conversion from 2D to 3D.
