Actor-director Aravind Kaushik has completed work on his new film Country Made – Part 2 after Ardham Bardha Premakathe. Known for working across different genres, Aravind Kaushik has directed a gangster film for the first time through this project. The film has completed shooting and is currently in the post-production stage.
The teaser of the film was released on Monday evening at Utsav Legacy. During the event, Aravind Kaushik introduced several actors from the film. The cast members also shared their experiences of working on the project.
Speaking about the film, Aravind Kaushik said that after the release of his previous film, he visited Pavagada, a place that had stayed in his mind since childhood, and wanted to shoot a film there. He said several characters in the film were inspired by real-life people he had seen in the region. These include characters such as Kajal, Milky, Majjige, Bombay Bunty, Poison Ravi, Joker Johnny, Gym Chetu, Pushpa, Anchor Anjali, Reel Shantamma and Dare Devil Saroja.
Aravind Kaushik said the story was developed around the line, “There are more flies in our town because there are more dead bodies in our town.” He added that while men are often involved in hatred, anger, revenge and violence, women at home are the ones who suffer the consequences. He stated that the film explores this aspect and added that the movie does not have a conventional hero, heroine or comedian, as every character has equal importance.
The cast of Country Made – Part 2 includes Aravind Kaushik, Abhilash Dwarakeesh, Raghav Ram, Shilpa Aravind, Pradeep Roshan, Gaurav Aryan, Kuldeep, Ashwitha Gowda, Sujith Shetty, Sudha Prasanna, Apoorvashri and Veeren Sagar.
The film is produced by Umesh Mathpathi, Surya, Aravind Kaushik and Chandan Gowda. Music for the film has been composed by Arjun Ramu, cinematography is by Surya and action choreography has been handled by Ultimate Shivu.
