Under the banner of Shri Krishna Arts & Creations, Ajay Rao has produced and played the lead in Yuddha Kanda. The trailer of the film was launched by Crazy Star Ravichandran, who ceremoniously blew the conch (Panchajanya) to mark the occasion. After the launch, Ravichandran and the film team shared their thoughts.
“I watched a few of Ajay Rao’s interviews before coming here. In some of them, he openly mentioned that he had taken loans to make films. Hearing that reminded me of my own debts. In this industry, one needs the strength to repay loans. I was someone who made movies by investing crores. I never knew the value of money—still don’t. I’d say I want 100 dancers, 100 fighters. I had no idea where my father was getting the money from. I only realized it after he was gone.
Even without money, dreams matter here. We must learn to make movies within what we have. Content is king—what we’re trying to say matters more than anything else.

Looking at your team, I can see the dedication. There’s satisfaction and confidence in your crew. You’ve come this far and made a film. I’ll watch it as an audience member. I’m already buying five Gold Class tickets and will call you after watching it,” said Crazy Star Ravichandran.
“Ravichandran sir is like a father and elder brother to us,” said Ajay Rao. “When I had made Krishna Leela, its collections were dipping. Ravichandran sir watched the film, invited us to his house, and shared a few insights that we were unaware of. Post that, the collections steadily increased. When I started Yuddha Kanda, I first approached him to ask for the title. He blessed me and sent me off with his support. While making each scene of this film, I was driven by the fear of failure. I’ve always admired his dreamer’s spirit and his stubborn passion. I wish to emulate that all my life.
He has purchased the first five tickets of the film himself. I believe this movie will set a new benchmark. I plan to make more movies after this—and only Kannada films. But this time, I won’t take loans,” shared Ajay Rao, producer and lead actor of the film.
“Yuddha Kanda isn’t a hero-centric film. All characters in the story are significant. To be precise, Ajay Rao isn’t present in about 35% of the film, yet he agreed to do it. I sincerely thank the entire team and Ravichandran sir for launching the trailer,” said director Pavan Bhat.
Lead actress Archana Jois said, “In this film, I play a character representing women who have suffered.” Actor T.S. Nagabharana, who plays a judge in the film, added, “It was a joy working with this team.”
