The movie Vikki humorously narrates the story that revolves around the dreams and aspirations of a middle-class youngster. Deepak S. Avandkar has written the story, screenplay, and dialogues, and has also directed the film. It is produced by Navaneetha Lakshmi under the banner Kesarinandana Cine Creations, with K.R. Suresh as the executive producer.
At a recent event, the trailer was launched by Malathi Sudheer (mother of Tarun Sudheer) and actor Naveen Shankar.
Director Deepak, who hails from Davanagere, spoke at the event and said, “I was an associate in the producer’s previous film. Through Vikki, they have given me my first opportunity as a director. Vikki is a comedy genre film that attempts to show, in a humorous way, what all can happen when a middle-class boy dreams big and sets out to achieve it. We shot the film for 35 days in and around Bengaluru and Chikkamagaluru. The film is now ready for release, has received a U/A certificate from the censor board, and we are planning to release it in the second week of May.”
Chief guest Malathi Sudheer said, “Entertainment has now come right into our homes. People should cultivate the habit of going to theatres and watching films. The trailer gives a sense that there’s something special in this film. May this film win over the hearts of the audience.”
Later, Naveen Shankar said, “Raju Talikote is the reason I came here. The trailer, with its mix of humor and suspense content, is really good. May their concept reach everyone. They’ve made this movie through a path of struggle. I wish the team great success.”
Producer Navaneetha Lakshmi said, “We had earlier made a movie called Chitralahari under Kesarinandana Cine Creations. Vikki is our second venture, and it has turned out really well.”
Lead actor Bharat Talikote said, “I’ve done small roles in four or five films before. With Vikki, I’m playing a lead role for the first time. I portray a middle-class boy in this film.”
Music director Aarav Rishik said, “The background score is the highlight of this film. The film is not only comedic but also engaging.”
Another guest, Onkar Purushottam, said, “The name Vikki itself carries luck. Director Deepak has worked with me as an assistant director in over 20 films. He has great talent. If a film is good, people will definitely watch it.”
Lead actress Vindhya Hegde and actor Varun Devayya also shared their thoughts about the film.
