Vijay Suriya, a tall and handsome actor, is embarking on a new chapter to celebrate his birthday on September 7, 2023. He is making a significant shift from his previous soft and romantic roles to take on a full-fledged action role in the upcoming film ‘Veera Putra.’
Vijay Suriya kickstarted his acting career at Whistling Woods Academy and rose to prominence through the television serial ‘Agni Saakshi.’ His debut in the film industry occurred in 2012 with ‘Crazy Loka.’ However, his performance in the prominent role in ‘Ishtakamya’ didn’t yield the expected results. Similarly, ‘Kaddu Muchi,’ where he played the protagonist, failed to make a mark at the box office. Despite these setbacks, Vijay Suriya garnered recognition and awards for his 2014 mega serial ‘Agni Saakshi’ and participation in various reality shows. Currently, he plays a significant role in the TV serial ‘Prema Loka.’
Vijay Suriya’s new look, featuring long hair and a rugged appearance, is a departure from his previous image. The film ‘Veera Putra’ is directed by Devaraj S, his second directorial venture after the Kannada film ‘Supplementary.’ The movie revolves around the themes of medical mafia and family revenge. Funding for the film is provided by Guru Bandi, the investor behind ‘Supplementary,’ and Dheera Samrat, marking his third investment in a film.
The cast includes notable actors such as Lekha Chandra, Umasri, and others in prominent roles. Chandrasekhara Bandiappa is responsible for writing the dialogues, Judah Sandy is composing the music, C Ravichandran is handling the editing, Uday Aditya is the cinematographer, and Pramod Maravanthe is in charge of the lyrics for the film.
‘Veera Putra’ is set to undergo shooting in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with approximately sixty percent of the filming to take place in these locations.
