Renowned for his contribution to quality films in Kannada cinema, veteran director S. V. Rajendra Singh Babu is directing Veera Kambala, produced by Arun Rai Todar. The film is being made in both Kannada and Tulu and was shot in Dubai, apart from various locations in Karnataka. Recently, the film crew completed the Dubai schedule and returned to Bengaluru. Actors like Aditya, producer Arun Rai Todar, and Shobh Raj participated in the Dubai shoot.
Kambala is a traditional sport of Dakshina Kannada, which serves as the central theme of Veera Kambala. Rajendra Singh Babu has written the story based on this sport. The movie will be released under the title Veera Kambala in Kannada and Birdud Kambala in Tulu.

A significant portion of the film’s shooting has been completed. The film was shot in Mangaluru, Moodbidri, Bengaluru, and even Dubai. The storyline follows a family with strong ties to Kambala, now residing in Dubai, which is why some sequences were filmed there. The director has expressed the team’s intent to complete the remaining work swiftly and release the film by mid-April.
The film’s script and dialogues are written by Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, with music composed by Manikanth Kadri. The cinematography is by R. Giri, editing by Srinivas P. Babu, choreography by Madan-Harini, and action direction by Different Danny and Mass Madha. Chandrashekhar Suvarna Mulki has worked as the art director, while Benaka Kotresh and Akshata Vitla serve as associate directors. Rajesh Kudla is the executive producer.
