Varnavedam is the latest film directed by Srinivas Thimmaiah, known for his previous work Nannu Maththu Gunda. The shooting of the title song took place at Bangalore Film City, a newly built studio on Kanakapura Road by Mohammed Ghaus.
“This is the film I am directing after Nannu Maththu Gunda,” said Srinivas Thimmaiah. The film is being produced under the banner of Srinivas Thimmaiah Film Factory by Chandrashekhar, Vishwanath, Shaiju, and Rajesh. Notably, Varnavedam is the first film to be shot at the state-of-the-art Bangalore Film City Studio.
The lead actors, Nairuthya and Pratiksha, performed in the title song choreographed by Moin Master. The music for the song has been composed by Gagan Bhaderia, with vocals by Rajat Hegde and Tanusha. The lyrics for the title song, Varnave Varnave, were penned by Pratap Bhat.
The film’s shooting is nearing completion, with only two songs and one adventure scene left to be filmed. Varnavedam revolves around the theme of color, exploring the intriguing concept of a “Color Mafia.” The heroine’s character is named Varna, while the hero’s character is Vedant. Srinivas Thimmaiah described the film as a vibrant and engaging story with all the elements to captivate the audience.
Hero Nairuthya shared, “Originally a theater artist, this is my first film as a hero. My character, Vedant, is a musician in the story.”
Heroine Pratiksha added, “This is my debut film. I hail from Mangalore, and my character’s name is Varna.”
The producers—Vishwanath, Chandrashekhar, Shaiju, Bhimesh, and Rajesh—expressed their hope for the media and audience to support the film for its success.
Choreographer Moin, studio owner Mohammed Ghaus, and cinematographer Chidanand also shared their contributions to Varnavedam.
