Director Chandru Obaiah, known for his engaging subjects and down-to-earth themes, is taking on his fourth directorial venture, Vaibhoga.

The central theme of Vaibhoga is encapsulated in the phrase, “Yavvanadalli Hutto Pritigoskara Hettavara Maribedi,” which emphasizes the importance of protecting parents alongside romantic love. The film’s muhurat (inaugural event) took place at Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Jayanagar 4th Block, Bangalore.

Chandru Obaiah, who previously directed U Turn 2, Ramu and Ramu, and Karimani, recently held the title release event for Vaibhoga. Dr. Chetan Ningegowda, a doctor and educationist, has expressed his deep interest in the subject and is the main investor in the film.

Speaking at the event, Chandru Obaiah shared, “Vaibhoga is a commercial film that conveys the message of protecting parents while nurturing love.” The lead roles are portrayed by Shreyas and Sanjana Kadam.

The talkie portion of the film will begin shooting on the 20th of this month, around Channapatna and Mysore, over the course of 30 days. Additionally, the team plans to shoot the song sequences in Mangalore over 10 days. Obaiah also mentioned that his previous film Ramu and Ramu has already been cleared by the censor board, and the shooting for Karimani Malika has been completed.

Obaiah further noted, “If we make four or five films a year, it provides job opportunities for many. We plan to begin another project around the Vijayadashami festival. After that, I intend to take a break from new projects for a year to focus on completing the ongoing ones.”

Lead actor Shreyas expressed his confidence in the film, stating that he believes it will be a successful project. Sanjana Kadam, known for her fair complexion, shared that she is a theater artist from Mysore and trained at the Natana theater group. Vaibhoga marks her debut as a heroine, and she is dedicated to meeting the director’s expectations.

Veteran actor Nagendra Aras, who plays the hero’s father in the film, mentioned that he previously played the heroine’s father in the popular Brahmagantu TV series. “It’s a great role, and I’m excited to work with Chandru Obaiah again,” he added.

Producer Dr. Chetan Ningegowda highlighted the film’s effort to showcase the significance of fathers, mothers, and the concept of a joint family.

Senior actor Moogu Suresh shared his experience, saying, “In front of the camera, I am an artist, regardless of whether the director is senior or junior. My job is to follow the director’s instructions. I’ve worked with Chandru Obaiah on previous films as well, including one where I had a combination scene with Rekha Das.”

Photographer Niranjan Bopanna was also present at the press conference.
