Last week, in the picturesque landscapes of Madikeri, the Kannada film ‘Usiru’ encountered a dramatic incident during its shoot. A motorbike scene went awry, resulting in injuries to the film’s protagonist, Santosh, and the female lead, Apoorva.
The mishap unfolded at the Makkandhur location, where the motorbike lost control. Both Santosh and Apoorva tumbled to the ground, fortunately sustaining only minor injuries. Director Panem Prabhakar attributes the duo’s relatively unharmed state to the timely lack of movement in other vehicles nearby.
Produced by RSP group of companies, ‘Usiru’ marks the maiden venture of Lakshmi Harish. Director Prabhakar, boasting 12 years of industry experience, conducted extensive workshops for his team of artists. The film revolves around the theme of life and death, with a focus on nine pivotal characters.
Titled “Usiru,” the movie delves into a psycho-thriller narrative. Tilak takes on the role of a police officer, with Priya Hegde as the heroine, and Raghu Ramankoppa and Rangayana Raghu rounding out the cast.
