In the world of filmmaking, a universal trend prevails, wherein visuals are presented for any film teaser or trailer, aligning the entire world’s perception. In this context, the visionary Upendra has introduced an unconventional approach. He unveiled a black screen accompanied by audio dialogues from his latest directorial venture, ‘UI.’ Upendra has consistently surprised audiences since his debut with ‘A’ in 1998. As a director of his own films, expectations naturally soar, with even his loyal fans eagerly anticipating his dual role as director and actor.
Amidst the peculiar festivities of Lord Vinayaka Chaturthi on September 18, which coincided with Upendra’s birthday, his devoted fans congregated at Urvashi Theater, undeterred by the relentless rain in Bengaluru.
Following a series of dialogues and musical interludes, Upendra’s enigmatic stance left everyone in awe. He appears to be of the mindset that revealing anything about the film before its silver screen premiere is unnecessary.
A solitary droplet of water sound is accompanied by Upendra’s voice, guiding viewers on how to navigate the darkness. He contemplates, “When there is light, I might face adversity… How can I escape this place? I must remain composed and focused.” These intriguing dialogues echo in the ears, leaving viewers to speculate. Ajaneesh Lokanath has crafted the background score for the teaser.
According to insider information, a significant portion of the shooting for ‘Upendra UI’ has already been finalized. The cast includes Reeshma Nanaiah, Nidhi Subbaiah, Pashanth Sambargi, among others. G Manoharan of Lahari Recording and KP Srikanth serve as the producers for the film ‘UI.’
The audio dialogue featured in the ‘UI’ teaser was unveiled by the hat trick hero, Karunada Chakravarthy Dr. Shivarajakumar. This auspicious occasion also witnessed the presence of Smt. Geetha Shivarajakumar, actor-producer, and director Dhuniya Vijay, among others.
Upendra’s fans celebrated his birthday festively, adorning the surroundings of Urvashi Theater with an assortment of cakes and cutouts.
