How about a love story unfolding from a ‘Missed Call’? That’s the essence of the upcoming film ‘Jotheyagiru’ that is ready to captivate the audience.
After years of being an assistant and associate director, Satish Kumar is taking his first step as an independent director, both as the writer of the story and screenplay.
The script for this film draws inspiration from a real-life incident that occurred in 2009, during the era of keypad mobile phones. In this scenario, a boy receives a missed call from a girl, setting in motion a series of intriguing events. The film’s narrative is set 15 years in the past and has been granted a U/A certificate by the censor board.
‘Renu Movies’ features five compositions by Vinu Manasu, with Satish Chandraiah as the editor, Raja Shiva Shanker and Anand Ilayaraja working behind the camera, and K Kalyan and Manvarshi providing the lyrics for the film.
The film was shot in the picturesque locales of Kalasa, Sakaleshpura, and Kundapura. Venkatesh Hegde and Sunil Kanchan take on significant roles, alongside Rashmi Gowda and Pooja Achar. Additionally, Shanker Narayan, Sudhir, Sudha, Yashoda, Ashwini, Santosh, Rajashekhar, Manju, and others form the supporting cast.
‘Jotheyagiru’ is scheduled for release at the end of this year, with the trailer and songs set to be unveiled in November for promotional purposes.
