The trailer launch event for Kirik, directed by Nagathihalli Gangadhara Gowda and starring Ravi Shetty and Pooja Ramachandra in lead roles, was held on Thursday evening at the Artists’ Association. Minister N. Cheluvarayaswamy officially released the trailer, while lyricist Nagendra Prasad, actor Chetan, and the minister’s son, Sachin, launched three lyrical songs from the film.
The film revolves around a mechanic working in a garage and a mischievous female lead who constantly causes kirik (trouble). The story explores how their playful clashes evolve into love and the journey it takes them on.
Speaking at the event, Minister Cheluvarayaswamy noted, “Many members of this film’s team hail from our Nagamangala. The trailer looks very promising, and the hard work of the team is evident. I wish them all success.”
Renowned lyricist Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, who launched the emotional Tayi Sentiment song composed by Karthik Venkatesh, expressed his support: “Being from Nagamangala myself, I have followed this team’s journey from the start. They have faced several hurdles, but they have now reached the trailer launch stage. I am confident this film will be a success.”
Lead actor Ravi Shetty shared insights into his role, while director Gangadhara Gowda described Kirik as “a unique love story that brings a fresh perspective.” He added, “The film is now ready for release, and we are confident that audiences will enjoy it.”
Presented by Muktinaga Films and produced by Nagaraj S., the film has Harish Shetty as a co-producer. Music is composed by R.B. Bharat, with cinematography by S. Keerthivardhan, editing by Bhargav K.M., and VFX work supporting the film’s visuals. Action sequences have been choreographed by Rocket Vikram and Chandru Bande. The supporting cast includes Bal Rajawadi, Honnawalli Krishna, Kuri Ranga, Sadananda Kale, Radhika Shetty, and Jyoti Maruru.
