Three films produced under Matric Movie Makers, owned by Arun Kumar, were launched on Monday morning at Sri Bande Mahakali Temple in Gavipuram. The films include Seeta Rama Raju directed by Keerthi Krishna, Darshana directed by Swastik, and an untitled project directed by Kumar.
The film Seeta Rama Raju stars Bigg Boss fame Karthik Mahesh in the lead role, with Priyanka Kumar as the female lead. The cast also includes Arumugam Ravishankar, Jagappa, and Mahanati fame Deepika. Director Keerthi Krishna said that along with Seeta and Rama, the character of Raju appears in the role of Hanuman, and the story is set around Chikkamagaluru and Bengaluru.
Producer Arun Kumar said that he had been interested in film production for several years and had listened to multiple stories, which are now being taken forward. Co-producer Bhavya Arun Kumar said that among the many stories they had heard over the years, these three were selected for production.
Actor Karthik Mahesh said that starting three films on the same day is not easy and that the story of this film had a strong impact on him, adding that it also contains a love story. Actress Priyanka Kumar said that the film is an emotional love story and that her character has multiple layers. Actor Ravishankar said that director Keerthi has worked extensively on the story and that he had shared some scenes and dialogues with him.
Dialogue writer Kranthi Kumar, music director Raghavendra V, and cinematographer Abhilash Kalathi spoke about their work on Seeta Rama Raju.
The film Darshana, directed by Swastik, was also launched at the same event. Chowkidar fame Prithvi Ambar plays the lead role, with Nisha Ravindra as the female lead. The film is produced under Matric Movie Makers.
Director Swastik said that the film belongs to the comedy-drama genre and is his debut project. He said that the shooting will take place in and around Bengaluru, with Gaurav Shetty and Santu in key roles, and filming is scheduled to begin from the 8th of this month.
Actor Prithvi Ambar spoke about his role, while actress Nisha Ravindra said that she plays a character named Preethi. Actor Tabala Nani said that he plays a character named Bangarappa, who has two daughters in the film.
Producer Arun Kumar said that Lokesh played a key role in bringing all three films to this stage and that each story has a distinct element, which led to the simultaneous launch. Actor Gaurav Shetty also spoke about his role.
At the same event, another film directed by “Love You Muddu” fame Kumar was also launched. Actor Tabala Nani will appear in a prominent role in this film. The project is currently in its initial stage, and the remaining cast and technical team are yet to be finalized.
Director Kumar said that Tabala Nani’s role in Eddelu Manjunatha had stayed with him for a long time and that a similar character is being continued in this film. He clarified that there is no connection between the two stories and that the film revolves around that character. He added that the film is being made as a comedy.
