The film “Mooka Jeeva,” based on the novel by J.M. Prahlad, is set to release this week. The story begins in a poor family in a village and concludes in the city. The film attempts to reveal how a person responds to the help, guidance, and support needed to live independently.

“Mooka Jeeva” tells the story of a poor family living in a village, where the father, who should have been a support to the family, is absent. The mother has two children, a daughter and a son. The daughter, having reached marriageable age, struggles with the decision to marry and leave her mother’s home due to the family’s circumstances. The son, our protagonist, is named Shreekanth. He is deaf and mute, and the challenges posed by poverty are evident in their lives. Amidst this, the family strives to maintain their household.

The film “Mooka Jeeva” conveys a narrative that instills confidence in disabled individuals, emphasizing that they can live like everyone else without viewing their disabilities as shortcomings.

Produced by Mr. M. Venkatesh and Mrs. Manjula through A.V.E.V. Entertainers, the film is directed by the talented Sreenath Vasishtha, who is among the greatest artists in Kannada cinema.

This film subtly communicates to the people of the state how disabled individuals can build their lives and coexist with those who have all their limbs intact.

The cast includes Karthik Mahesh (famous from Bigg Boss), Sriharsha, Apoorvashree, Meghashree, Girish Vaidyanaathan, Ramesh Pandit, Venkatachal, Sreenath Vasishtha, and others.
