“Don’t blindly believe in superstitions; there’s usually something else behind them. After seeing that, make your decision.” With a story revolving around illusions and reality Vyna Varna Jammula has written the story, screenplay, and dialogues, and directed the movie Mantrika, which is set to release across the state on Friday, October 18th.
The movie follows a ghost hunter named Vyasan Krshta, played by Vyna Varna Jammula himself, as he searches for the truth behind positive and negative forces. Apart from acting, Jammula has also worked in 8 different departments of the film, including production and direction.
This is a time-travel story that takes place in a place called Marnudi on the Karnataka-Maharashtra border, with the events unfolding from morning till evening. “First, we need to overcome the fears in our minds. Along with horror, we’ve tried to convey a message to society,” says the director.
Radhika Mali Patil and Maithili Nayak are the lead actresses. The director’s wife, Mrs. Ayan, is the executive producer of the film.
Produced under the banner of Krishna Sankula Branding Pictures, the film has received a U/A certification from the censor board.
The movie features music composed by Stalin, cinematography by Anil Antony and Ramesh Marripalli, and stunt coordination by Lion G. Gangaraju. Mantrika is releasing in 40 to 50 theaters through Vijay Cinemas.
