Even before the release of his much-cherished film ‘The Judgement,’ director and co-producer Gururaj Kulkarni has declared it a ‘hit.’ This shows his confidence in his content and team.
This type of confidence is essential for a director, and it is the hope, no doubt, that finally garners judgment from the audience.
‘The Judgement,’ a Kannada film with a huge star cast led by Dr. V Ravichandran, is hitting the silver screen on the 24th of this month, not only in Karnataka but also in other parts of the country. Mr. Pankaj Mishra of Reliance Entertainment is supporting the distribution of this film. He is releasing it in major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, and other prominent places.
Gururaj Kulkarni is a man with guts. He worked on a few films such as ‘Accident,’ ‘Last Bus,’ and his last film in 2021, the family thriller ‘Amrutha Apartments.’ With extensive research, he is now venturing into the legal thriller genre with ‘The Judgement.’
At the trailer launch at MMB Legacy on Wednesday night, director Gururaj Kulkarni disclosed that ‘The Judgement’ is the story of a man’s atonement. Whether we realize it or not, we all make mistakes. Along with understanding those mistakes, an effort should be made to correct them. In this film, we have tried to depict the obstacles faced by a person who has made a mistake when he sets out to correct it. Like everyone else, I am an admirer of V Ravichandran’s style. The vigor he showed in his ‘Yuddakanda’ days is controlled according to his age in this film, which is a story written for him.
“I wrote a story that powerfully uses his speaking style and persona. In my opinion, it is an excellent movie. I have faith that the film will be successful,” he said.
“The overall experience of making the film was like having a ‘Ganga Snan’ and climbing the Gaurishankara hill. In my opinion, it will be a hit.”
‘The Judgement’ is produced by Sharad Nad Gowda, Ramu Raichur, Vishwanath Gupta, Rajasekhara Patil, and Gururaj Kulkarni under G9 Communication Media and Entertainment. Gururaj Kulkarni wrote the story, screenplay, and directed the film.
