Following the success of The Suit, produced under the PCD2 Film Factory banner by Gayathri M, director S. Bhagat Raj is back with Thane C/O Srirampura.
Actor Praveen, known for his work in theatre and experience assisting renowned action directors in Kannada cinema, makes his debut as a lead actor in Thane. The film also features Vidushi Harinakshi, B.V. Rajaram, Ball Rajwadi, Rohith Nagesh, Kuldeep, Santosh Karki, Bhishma Ramayya, Nagaraj, P.D. Satish Chandra, Praveen John, Pooja Rao, Roopa, and several other talented theatre artists.
Set 20 years ago, Thane revolves around a time when media coverage and police accessibility were limited, compelling people to fight for justice on their own. The film follows protagonist Kaali’s struggle for justice during such an era. To maintain authenticity, director and writer S. Bhagat Raj has chosen old buildings and locations that reflect the period.
The film features three melodious songs composed by Manasa Holla, with lyrics penned by Maja Talkies fame Remo. Singers Rajesh Krishnan, Manasa Holla, and reality show contestants have lent their voices. Prashant Sagar handles the cinematography, while veteran editor Suresh Aras is in charge of editing. The project is supported by associate director Davanagere Ravichandra, with production management also handled by him.
Five intense action sequences have been choreographed by Kaurava Venkatesh and Tiger Shivu, with lead actor Praveen delivering power-packed stunts.
The film’s audio is set to be released this March under Lekha Audio.
