After a lot of searching and research, director Praveen Naik, producer Nagachandra, and other team members are feeling relieved as the film Tequila is all set for release on the 16th of May all over Karnataka.
As part of a pre-pre-release event, with 15 members on stage, the trailer of the much-expected film Tequila was released. Veteran actor Keerthiraj and Kannada cinema financier Sanjay Gowda jointly released the trailer of the film.
Tequila, with the caption Kikko Kikku, stars Dharma Keerthiraj and Nikita Swamy in the lead roles. For Dharma, this is a very important film because it features romantic scenes that are very close to his career, and he thanked Nikita Swamy for her cooperation. “When decision-making is in a hurry, what happens is disclosed in this film,” he said.
Beautiful-looking Nikita Swamy says Tequila is a film with social awareness, a good story, and commercial elements. “It is Dharma who made me comfortable in romantic scenes,” she said. “The film talks about addiction. I am thankful because director Praveen Naik briefed very well, enacted, and showed me how to perform before the camera.”
“So far, during the journey with the film, I was not afraid. But now, at the time of release, I am having fear. More than half a dozen people who have worked on the film have put in 25 years of service. I hope a good response comes to the film from the people of Karnataka,” she added.
Director of a few quality films in his career and a photojournalist of high reputation for the last three and a half decades, Praveen Naik says the film touches on very interesting points in life. “Life is not that easy. It is not a path of flowers. There is no end to happiness either. But when a sudden storm comes in life, managing it becomes important. The protagonist tackles various uphill tasks, and I always say that Tequila is strange, unique, and special.”
Senior actors Kote Prabhakar, Nagendra Urs, music director Top Star Renu, cinematographer PKH Doss, Shanker Reddy, and Sunil Shashi addressed the media at the pre-release meet at MMB Legacy.
