The teaser and songs of the movie “Kuchuku” were released in the presence of several dignitaries from the film industry. The film, which highlights the importance of friendship, is scheduled to release on February 14, Valentine’s Day.

Produced by Nagarthnamma under the banner of Sri Chamundeshwari Pictures and directed by Mysore Raju, the teaser and songs were launched at an event attended by notable personalities such as M.N. Kumar, Vice President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, producer M.D. Parthasarathi, and choreographer Jaggu Master.

The film, emphasizing the value of friendship, is set for release on February 14, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. The event also celebrated the birthday of actor Shivaji, who plays the antagonist in the movie. Following the teaser release, the film’s crew members shared their thoughts.

Mysore Raju, the director, said, “I have been working as a dancer and dance master for 26 years. Previously, I directed the film Nruthyam, and this is my second directorial venture. With a storyline emphasizing the value of friendship and emotional scenes, the film will resonate with the audience. We shot the movie in and around Mysore, and it is now ready for release.”

Arjun Chauhan, the lead actor, shared, “This is my third film as an actor. As the name suggests, this movie revolves around friendship, and I play one of the friends.”

Basavaraj Kumar, another lead actor, mentioned, “I am from Gulbarga and originally a theatre artist. In this movie, Arjun and I portray the ‘Kuchukus’.”

Actor Shivaji, who plays the antagonist, said, “In a fight sequence between the hero and the villain, the hero, inspired by seeing a poster of Appu Sir (late Puneeth Rajkumar) at the shooting location, overpowers the villain with renewed energy. Most of the cast, including myself, are from Mysore. This is my first time playing a villain. After this film, I have been offered roles in movies like KD, Father by R. Chandru, Kuntebille, A1, Mandal Panchayati, and others.”

Shivaji further expressed gratitude towards producer Nagarthnamma, stating, “Behind every successful producer stands the support of their family, who are like Annapurneshwari (goddesses of nourishment). For a movie to succeed, not just the director and producer, but all actors must actively participate in promotions. However, in recent times, some actors do not show up for promotions, citing reasons like busy shooting schedules or demanding reimbursement for travel expenses. This causes distress to the producers and directors.”

During the event, M.N. Kumar suggested that filmmakers should sign agreements with actors before filming to ensure their participation in promotional activities. He recommended filing complaints with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce if actors fail to show up for promotions.

Producer Nagarthnamma stated that the film was made with great effort and love for cinema. Music director A.T. Ravish confirmed that the film features five melodious songs. Actress Priyadarshini also shared her thoughts about her role in the movie.
