The teaser and songs of the upcoming Kannada film Sukheebhava were released at an event held at Sri Renukamba Studio. The film is produced under the Ved Aryan Films banner by Santosh Kumar and Bhargavi Santosh, named after their son.
The film is written and directed by Mysuru-based N. K. Rajesh Naidu, who has previously worked as an assistant with several filmmakers, including Yogaraj Bhat. He has handled the story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction for the project.
According to producer Santosh Kumar, the film progressed smoothly from the beginning without any obstacles. He stated that the film was made with inspiration from Umapati Srinivas Gowda, producer of Robert, who is a friend and well-wisher.
Speaking at the event, director N. K. Rajesh Naidu said the film includes elements of love, emotions, humour, and entertainment. He added that the film initially had a different title, but during the writing process, Sukheebhava was finalized. He explained that the film explores themes related to first love, its meaning at different stages of life, and the question of whether it can be rediscovered, presenting these ideas in a positive manner. He described the film as a journey of life.
Mahendra from Bengaluru plays the lead role. Sushmita Nayak and Viyanshi Gde are the female leads. The supporting cast includes Gaurav Shetty, Shobharaj, Ravishankar Gowda, Sunil Puranik, Tukaali Santu, and Maithri Jaggi.
Lyrics for three songs are written by Pramod Maravante, while the final song is penned by Santosh Kumar and N. K. Rajesh Naidu. Music is composed by B. J. Bharat, Shubham, and Viyan S. A. Actor Sharan has lent his voice to the song featuring the line “Beda Machcha Beda.”
Cinematography is handled by S. B. Manjunath Naik. Vinay N. is the executive producer, Madhu Tumbukere is the editor, and action sequences are choreographed by Narasimha. The film has been shot at locations including Bengaluru, Udupi, Sakleshpur, and Kalasa.
