The first melodious song of the Kannada film Talwar, starring Dharma Keerthiraj, was released at Renukamba Digital Theater. The song Pal Pal… has already garnered wide appreciation. Vijeth has lent his voice to this melodious track, composed by Praveen.
Talwar is directed by Murali, who previously helmed the film Mumtaz. Featuring Dharma Keerthiraj in a mass avatar, the film is slated for release in the last week of January 2025. Recently, the making video and the first song were launched by Umesh Banakar, the president of the Producers’ Association, in the presence of guests Byre Gowda and Somanahalli Jayaram.
Extending his wishes to the film team, Umesh Banakar announced that Dharma Keerthiraj now holds the title of “Innocent Star,” explaining:
“He is so innocent and does his work with dedication. I have observed this since the days of the Navagraha film,” said Umesh Banakar.
The melodious song Pal Pal… is now available on the Sarigama Kannada YouTube channel.
This film is produced by Suresh Bhairasandra under the banner of TouchStone Pictures. Known for his work as a cinematographer, Suresh Bhairasandra is making his debut as a producer with this film. Murali has written the story, screenplay, and directed the action-packed sequences.
Speaking after the song release, lead actor Dharma Keerthiraj shared: “This film is a blend of action and mother sentiment. My look in the film is completely different, and I consider this a special project. I play the role of a boy who is ready to do anything for money. The story explores how he seeks redemption through the course of the film.”
Director Murali, who also wrote the story and screenplay, revealed: “I have three mentors in the film industry—Director Dinesh Babu, Umesh Banakar, and cinematographer Suresh Bhairasandra. This film delves into rowdyism and relationships, inspired by a real incident I experienced during my hostel days. This is my second collaboration with Dharma after Mumtaz. We faced numerous struggles during the three-year shoot. The four action sequences are highlights of the film. Dharma’s unique portrayal will stand out. The trailer will be released in the second week of January. We have worked very hard to make this film a success.”
Producer and cinematographer B.M. Suresh added: “When I first heard this story, I felt it had the potential to take shape. I decided to take the leap into production. I believe the three songs in this film will be well-received. I extend my gratitude to Congress leaders Somanahalli Jayaram, Byre Gowda, and Umesh Banakar for their support and participation in the program.”
During the event, fellow artist Maja Bharat Avinash, music director Praveen K.B., and singer Vijetha shared their experiences working on the film. Aditi, the film’s heroine, plays a dual-shaded role. The cast also includes JK, Avinash, Sharath Lohitashwa, and others.
