In today’s society, there is a constant need to curb the abuse and rape of girls. Girls should be strong. It is imperative that children learn martial arts such as Karate and Taekwondo for self-defense. This becomes a way for girls to protect themselves. One such martial arts film, Taekwondo Girl, is releasing nationwide on August 30.

The song and teaser launch event for this film was organized at Kalavidhara Bhavan, with famous director Indrajit Lankesh as the chief guest. He launched the teaser and made a special gesture by honoring the young actress on stage, praising her for her acting, dancing, and fighting skills.

Actress Rupika mentioned that her reason for attending the event was the teaser and songs of the film. Veteran actor Ganesh Rao hosted the program, and director K. Purushottam was the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Sivakumar of Chittara magazine, KMW president Manoj Kumar, Baby Ritsuparsha School principal Manjula, Taekwondo trainer V. Ravi, and many others who wished the film team good luck.

The director of the film, Ravindra Vamshi, spoke about Taekwondo Girl, his follow-up to the film Night Curfew starring Malashree. He noted the challenges faced by films like theirs, which often come out alongside big-star films. The central theme of this film is how the daughter of a poor family struggles for her education, learns the martial art of Taekwondo during a time of hardship, and becomes a role model for society through her perseverance. Ritu Parsha, a fifth-grade student, has been practicing Taekwondo since the age of three. She is now a proud Taekwondo champion, having completed eight tests to earn her black belt, and has participated in four international championships. “Our film is good, and we hope everyone watches and supports it,” said Vamshi.

Producer Dr. Sumita Praveen shared that she made this film after observing her daughter Ritu’s talent. Taekwondo Girl aims to highlight the importance of this martial art and the protection of children, ensuring that it is not limited to just one family.

After completing this film, I acted in five others. My friends saw the teaser and praised my performance. Karate and self-defense training are crucial for the protection of girls, and we have showcased this in the film. I urge everyone to watch and support our film. Around two hundred Taekwondo students participated in the making of this film.

Music director MS Thyagaraj, who has composed music for around 150 films, directed the music for Taekwondo Girl. The film is set to release on the 30th of this month.
