Suthradaari, produced by Navarasan under Eagle Media Creations and directed by Kiran Kumar, marks the debut of Chandan Shetty as a lead actor. The film released on May 9 and has been receiving audience appreciation from day one. The movie is having a successful theatrical run. A success meet was organized to share this joy, where the film team spoke to the media.
Producer Navarasan, who spoke first, said, “I’m happy to see how the Kannada audience has welcomed Suthradaari, which released last week. Even though this is Chandan Shetty’s first time as a lead actor, fans have become fond of his performance. Many people are watching our film in multiplexes. I thank the media, the audience, and my film team who are responsible for this success,” he said.

Chandan Shetty said, “Before the first show, I went to Annamma’s temple. There, I was called inside the sanctum. It’s been fifteen years since I came to Bengaluru. This was the first time I saw the Goddess so closely. That moment gave me goosebumps. And when I came in front of the theatre and saw my cutout, I felt double the joy. All this became possible because of Navarasan sir. I thank him, my team, and media friends. I also convey special thanks to the people of this land who have made Suthradaari a success beyond our expectations.”
Lead actress Apoorva said, “No matter how much we express, it’s still not enough for the love people are showing to our film. Everyone has appreciated my character.”
Director Kiran Kumar added, “I didn’t expect that people would appreciate my first directorial film to this extent.”
