Directed by Deepak Aras, Sugar Factory is a romantic entertainer starring Darling Krishna, Sonal Monteiro, Adhvithi Shetty, and Ruhani Shetty in prominent roles. The film’s music by Kabir Rafi is complemented by the cinematography of Santhosh Rai Pathaje and editing by K M Prakash. Produced by R Girish under the Balamani Productions banner.

The narrative unfolds with Amulu (Ruhani Shetty), a social media influencer covering the renowned pub Sugar Factory in Goa. Struggling to find an intriguing story, she is directed towards Arya (Darling Krishna), a wedding planner. Amulu explores Arya’s love story with Adithi Bopanna (Sonal Monteiro), a software professional, revolving around the enchanting Sugar Factory owned by Bobs (Rangayana Raghu).

The characters share a meet-cute moment, marked by an introductory dance number, and bond over their shared belief in a commitment-free, single life. Their social media posts lead others to believe they are genuinely in love, pretending to be a couple for their friends. The pretend relationship comes crashing down as they will not be able to hold on to the lie long enough, leading to a celebratory break-up at the same Sugar Factory.

In the ensuing years, Arya crosses paths with Nandini (Adhvithi Shetty) in Mysore, and over time, she reveals her feelings of love for him. The plot thickens as Arya faces the dilemma of deciding whether to rekindle his connection with Adithi, embrace Nandini’s proposal, or adhere to his initial principles of staying single. This unfolding choice forms a compelling narrative that awaits the audience’s anticipation.

The film explores the clash between love and the philosophy of embracing a single life, portraying a straightforward love story reflecting the attitudes and lifestyles of the current generation. While the film could benefit from more focused writing and fewer double entendre jokes, its concise storytelling is compensated by lavish visuals showcasing scenic locations in Goa, Kazakhstan, and Mysore.

With stunning visuals and a diverse soundtrack, the film entices viewers with experienced actors delivering their assured performances. While Sugar Factory may not appeal to everyone, it caters specifically to those in search of a love story that delves into the complexities of both the highs and lows of romantic relationships.
