Renowned actor Suchendra Prasad turned director with Mavu Bevu last year, and for this year’s Bevu Bella time, which is Ugadi, he has announced his second directorial venture, Padmagandhi, which is now in its final stage of production.
This is a movie centered around the lotus flower, which is very familiar to all of us and has a divine fragrance. Naturally, curiosity has arisen about the movie Padmagandhi!
This film, being made in Kannada, Sanskrit, and Hindi, is directed by Suchendra Prasad. Former MLC and famous columnist S.R. Leela, known for her interdisciplinary studies and scholarship in Sanskrit, has prepared the story for this film and is also involved as a producer. For Leela, who has been expanding her horizons of knowledge about the lotus flower, which inspires divine feelings, its immensity had begun to feel like an inexhaustible pot even when it seemed exhausted. After continuously studying the lotus flower for six or seven years, she finally crafted a rare story, and then Suchendra Prasad took on the responsibility of directing.
According to botany, the lotus, a native flower of the Asian continent, has been revered as a great flower since ancient times. The lotus, which has retained its glory from ancient times through the Chinese era, is a rare flower with a wide influence. Digging deeper, we come across a surprising fact—its influence has even spread to Egyptian civilization. If any flower in this world has the power to easily sprout, grow into a plant, and blossom even if a seed from thousands of years ago is sown today, it is the lotus. This flower even has a legend in martial arts. It is known that various armies were formed during the war in the Mahabharata. We are familiar with Chakravyuha and Garuda Vyuha, but what is special is that Padma Vyuha was also part of it.

As a professor, writer, and researcher, S.R. Leela, who constantly strives to create new knowledge, is no stranger to the cinema industry. With her profound knowledge and unique perspective, she has built the story of Padmagandhi.
Under the leadership of Suchendra Prasad, Padmagandhi has reached its final stage, thanks to a talented team. After completing the remaining work, the film team will reveal more interesting insights about Padmagandhi to the audience. The release date of Padmagandhi, which is being made in Kannada, Sanskrit, and Hindi, will be announced after this May.
By the way, this movie is being made within the framework of a children’s film. Padmagandhi is the dream project of S.R. Leela, who hails from a Gurukul background.
