The success of Sri Jagannatha Dasaru has placed director Madhusudhan Hawaldar in a favorable position, inspiring him to pursue a series of ‘Dasa Sahitya’ films. Following the success of Sri Jagannatha Dasaru in 2021, a sequel was anticipated, though it remained a distant prospect.
In the past three years, he directed Prasanna Venkatadasaru and Sri Vijaya Dasaru, both devotional films. However, the sequel to Jagannatha Dasaru had not been officially announced.
Now, the dedicated director Madhusudhan Hawaldar is ready to create a sequel to Dasavarenya Sri Vijaya Dasaru. This second part is a notable milestone for actor Trivikrama Joshi, who portrayed Sri Vijaya Dasaru in all three of Hawaldar’s films and now reprises the role for the fourth time.
In a meaningful gesture, the sequel went on floors at the Sri Karanji Anjaneya Temple in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, during the Aradhana celebration of Sri Vijayadasa.
Honoring the Aradhana Parvakala of Sri Vijayadasa, son of the revered Haridasa Bhrigu Rishi, the team addressed the media. Vidwan Sri Satyadhyana Acharya Katti inaugurated the first scene of the film, while Mrs. Tejaswini Anantha Kumar switched on the camera. TTD member Naresh Kumar and renowned Gamaka artist Prasanna were the chief guests.
Producer Trivikrama Joshi shared, “I am producing this film under the SPJ Movies banner with the blessings of my parents. I’m honored to play Vijayadasa once again. The first part was well-loved, and we launched the second part on this special occasion of Vijayadasaru worship. Director Madhusudan Hawaldar has drawn me into a field beyond my usual path.
“We have a vision to make ten films on Haridasas. November 12 marks the anniversary of the passing of the great politician Ananthakumar, my mentor. Today, his wife is present, and we have discussed a film honoring Ananthakumar. This project will begin soon, as many others, like myself, were devoted admirers of Ananthakumar. Today, our respected Acharya blessed this project, encouraging us to proceed with Trivikrama Joshi as both lead actor and producer.”
He added, “I am grateful to the esteemed guests who launched Dasavarenya Sri Vijayadasaru Part 2. Filming has begun today, and we anticipate completion within four months. Key locations will include Hampe, Anegundi, Hulagi, Srirangapatna, and surrounding areas.”
JM Prahlad has crafted the screenplay and dialogues, and the film will feature nine songs. Director Madhusudan Hawaldar revealed that the cast includes Trivikrama Joshi, Prabhanjana Deshpande, Sharath Joshi, Srilata Bagewadi, and others.
JM Prahlad discussed the screenplay and dialogues, while actress Srilata Bagewadi will portray Haralamma, the wife of Sri Vijaya Dasaru, and Prabhanjana Deshpande will play the role of Gopaladasaru.
