The lyrical song “Udho Udho Yallavva…” from the film ‘Sri Krishna’ has been released. A new film starring, directed, and produced by Shankar Raj Varma.
Shankar Raj Varma (he came up in life from light boy), who had earlier made the film’ Brahmarakshasa’, has now quietly completed another new film titled ‘Sri krishna’. The shooting has already been completed, and the film is currently in the post-production stage. It is set for release in May, and ahead of that, the team has kick started promotions by releasing the first song of the film.
The song beginning with “Udho Udho Yallavva…” has lyrics written by M.S. Thyagaraj, who has also composed the music and lent his voice. Along with him, Sarayu (wife of music director Kaushik) has also sang the song. This lyrical song has now been released on the Siri Music YouTube channel.
The film Sri krishna, produced under the Brihaspati Creations banner, is jointly produced by Shankar Raj Varma and Ajay Kumar P.M. Shivlingaiah C.M., Ullas K.C.S., Chanukya R., ‘Nenapirali’ Mohan, and Latha Manjunath are also associated as co-producers.
Actor-director Shankar Raj Varma, beginning his speech, said that he had never imagined becoming a film director and building an organization to come this far. He credited his parents, family members, and friends for their encouragement and support in making this film possible. He mentioned that ‘Brahmarakshasa’ got delayed due to certain reasons and that the entire team had high expectations for it. When thinking about what next, he recalled a line of Lord Krishna, which inspired him to make a film titled Sri krishna. He added that most of the team members who worked on ‘Brahmarakshasa’ are also part of this film. He said that he is not the real hero or director of the film, but that the film has taken shape due to the collective effort of the entire team. He also stated that the film will release in May and that the trailer will be launched on March 30.
Speaking about the film, Shankar said that it portrays what happens in the lives of three orphans. The heroine is also an orphan. When they are all together, an incident takes place in their lives, which leads them to prison. What they do after escaping from jail forms the rest of the story.
Hubballi-based Chaithra Totad, who plays the female lead in the film, said that she has portrayed an orphan in the film. She mentioned that the film beautifully shows the struggles of her character and how the hero comes into her life during difficult times and transforms it. She added that she had earlier played an important role in ‘Brahmarakshasa’, and now she is the lead heroine in this film. She expressed confidence that the audience will like the film, as director Shankar has made it without any compromises.
Producer Ajay said that this is a film made by friends, for friends, and for the sake of friendship. He added that many of their friends are part of the team and expressed hope that the film will bring good opportunities for all of them.
Apart from Shankar Raj Varma and Chaithra Totad, the film Sri krishna also stars Pradeep Poojari, Bhuvan Gowda, Sneha, and Eshwar Shetty.
The film features lyrics and music by M.S. Thyagaraj who has scored music for five songs and introduced new talent in the film. This is the 44th film music of Thyagaraj. All are situational songs for this film.
