The fate of strangers in an unknown place and how difficult it is, is showcased through gory incidents and a tragic climax. The immense story of Soori and Sandhya meets a fatal fate at the hands of destiny, and the outcome is blood-curdling. Without Sandhya, there is no life for Soori, and, obviously, he takes the extreme step.

‘Soori Loves Sandhya’’s trump card is its natural style of narration without much exaggeration. The action blocks in this film are stunningly captured, and Abhimanyu Kashinath has excelled as an action hero.

For a humble and simple painter on the street walls, Soori, the care of his father is of utmost importance. By fate, there is a loving girl, Sandhya, tracking him for the last six months to express her love. The magnificent Shiva photo that Soori draws in a prominent place attracts Sandhya because she is a devotee of Lord Shiva.

Through a friend, Sandhya meets Soori at the Shiva temple to express her love. Soori is bowled over by this unexpected gratitude in his life and accepts her love. For Sandhya, visiting the Dwadasha Jyotirlinga and getting married to Soori at Kedarnath is the dream of her life.

All is not well for Soori, as he has to take on Sandhya’s elder brother, Prathap Narayan. Three unsuccessful attempts to attack Soori finally lead to his and Sandhya’s escape from the scene. The humble lovers, true to their core, land in Prayagraj on their way to Kedarnath for the ultimate day of their lives.

On the way to Kedarnath, the lovers find themselves in the most dangerous locations and come across something unusual. The developments lead to gory situations and blood-curdling moments in the last 20 minutes of the film, making it a gripping watch on the silver screen.

Abhimanyu Kashinath, son of veteran actor, director, and producer Kashinath—one of the pillars of Kannada cinema—has worked hard and given his best. His voice is reminiscent of his father, Kashinath. There is innocence in his expressions, and in action portions, Abhimanyu delivers stunning moments.

Apoorva has been very convincing as Sandhya, and she has the scope to perform well. Bow Bow Jayaram has offered good support as the father, while Prathap Narayan, in the role of an affectionate yet fearsome brother trying to protect his sister from marrying a roadside painter, delivers a solid performance.

The cinematography is extremely good in the outdoor locations. The music from Arunagiri is not that compelling, but the background score is impressive.

For true love story enthusiasts, tragic tale followers, and those looking for an honest attempt, ‘Soori Loves Sandhya’ is a good treat.
