The songs and teaser of the film Mayavi were unveiled recently in the presence of Shreesanthaveera Mahaswamiji and Shree Eeshwaranandapuri Mahaswamiji, who also extended their wishes to the film team. The event was also attended by Ambedkar Sena State President P. Moorthy and other dignitaries.
Mayavi features a unique storyline and marks the debut of Chitradurga native Raghuram as the lead actor. The Kannada film industry continues to see the entry of new talents, and Raghuram from Kote Nadu has now joined the list. In addition to playing the lead role, Raghuram has produced the film under the banner of Ishta Entertainers.
Directed by Shankar Ji, the film’s teaser and the lyrical video of the song Avarisu were launched in a recent event. Speaking at the event, the team members shared their thoughts on the film.
Director Shankar stated, “I have previously worked under a few directors. This is my first film as a director. My friend Raghuram and his wife Akshata decided to produce this project after hearing the story in Chitradurga. It is a suspense thriller. The film was shot in Chitradurga and Bengaluru, and post-production work is currently ongoing. I thank everyone who supported the project.”
Actor and producer Raghuram said, “I am from Chitradurga, and Mayavi is my first film as a lead actor. The main reason this film was made is my wife, Dr. Akshata, who is a medical professional. When director Shankar narrated the story, I liked it very much, and the project took off. Today, the teaser and the lyrical video of the song Avarisu have been released. The song is sung by Vijay Prakash, composed by Agastya Santosh, and written by Anand Kammasagar. The two seers who had blessed us during the muhurtha have now unveiled the audio and teaser, which makes me very happy. I also thank P. Moorthy for being present.”
Lead actress Nishchita Shetty said, “I am basically an engineer. My cinema journey began with the film Shree Jagannathadasaru. I have a good role in Mayavi as well. Along with acting, I have also worked in the technical aspects.”
Akshata, wife of lead actor Raghuram, spoke about the beginning of the film and requested everyone to support Mayavi.
Executive producer Maheshwarappa, senior actor Suresh Babu, and other members of the film team were present at the press meet.
